Only a few feet from the top of the wide, granite staircase, The Loft is 1600 square-feet made up of three distinct areas. Step through the double doors and look around. You will see 8 computer workstations, stacks and shelves displaying the Library’s teen collection, seating for 18, and a large plasma screen TV.
Continue through the space to the listening room—where a small group of teens can quietly enjoy their personal music or other media—or just hang out. Finally you will reach the homework center, with computers and enough room for 12 students to work independently or in small groups. |

These areas also feature contemporary colors and furnishings, as well as a variety of seating including study tables, upholstered chairs, and even some bean bags. Surrounded by walls of tinted windows, The Loft offers abundant natural light and a wide-open view of the outdoors. |
